This is currently considered to be a Purple congressional district. This is one of the critical seats that Democrats must win to regain control of the House. Meanwhile, in 2024, Trump won in this seat by just 1 percent.
An estimated 139,437 eligible voters, or 24.4 percent, did not vote at that election in New Jersey District 7, and 8,042 voted for a third (or fourth) party. There are also 20,586 in this district who have turned 18 since 2024 and are now eligible to vote!
