This is a deep BLUE STATE that Biden won in 2020, Clinton won in 2016 and Harris won in 2024. It is BLUE when it comes to the Senate race, and it is BLUE when it comes to House races, except for Districts IL-12, IL-15 and IL-16, which are reliably RED. However, for those who want to play it safe and not take any risks with this election, Districts IL-10, IL-11, IL-13, IL-14, and IL-17 have been categorized as “purple,” to ensure enough Democratic votes to retain those seats.
Democrats who don’t want to waste their vote in the Senate race or in a solid Democratic or Republican district race can choose to vote third party and swap their vote with someone in a purple state and/or district where the Democrat does have a chance of winning a seat.
