This used to be a battleground state but in recent years has become a fairly deep RED state that Trump won in 2016, 2020 and 2024. However, the Senate race here is currently labeled “purple” because there is a slim chance of Democrats taking this seat. That assessment could change between now and the election, so keep a watch on this!
Meanwhile, when it comes to House seats, Florida is very polarized. FL-9, FL-10, FL-14, FL-20, FL-22, FL-23, FL-24 and FL-25 are all considered reliably Democratic, while all other districts are considered reliably Republican. However, because of re-districting, at least six House seats may now be in play and are therefore considered “purple” for vote swapping purposes. These are FL-9, FL-10, FL-14, FL-22, FL-23 and FL-25.
