Presidential Primary – March 19th, 2024

As of February 1st, 2024, there will be no presidential primary in Florida on March 19 because a Federal Court has ruled in favor of the Democratic Party decision to allocate its 250 delegates to the Democratic Convention to Biden and not hold a primary. This could still end up in the Supreme Court, but for now, Florida Democrats are denied the opportunity to vote for an alternative to Biden.

CLOSED PRIMARY – You must be registered as a Democrat in order to vote in the Democratic primary.

Presidential Election – Nov 5th, 2023

Florida is now a fairly solid RED state that Trump won in 2016 and in 2020. Biden has little chance of winning this state in 2024.

In Florida, it is safe to vote for a third-party candidate in the general election, without fear that this will help get Trump back into the White House. He will win this state anyway.

If you want your vote to count as a vote to survive, vote for Jill Stein on November 5th! Jill stands for a ceasefire in Gaza, negotiations in Ukraine, an end to warmongering with China, the abolition of nuclear weapons and a full-scale mobilization to address the climate emergency.

Vote Swapping

Are you willing help ensure that Trump does not get back into the White House by voting for a third-party candidate in exchange for someone in a purple state voting for Biden (instead of their preferred third-party candidate)? If you’d like to know more, click here.

Senate Races

There are no Senate seats up for election in Florida this year.

House Races

The best we can hope for in 2020 at the Presidential and Senate levels is to get rid of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell so that we will at least survive the next four years. But in the medium term, we need to elect politicians who support the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, the Nuclear Ban Treaty and other real, sustainable solutions to the global threats facing us all.

Luckily, we already have over 100 such politicians in the House of Representatives. We need to make sure they get re-elected, and we need to elect more of them!

If you live in one of these US Congressional Districts, you have an incumbent Democrat who is already a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus to support for re-election!

District 9 – Soto

District 21 – Frankel

District 24 – Wilson

District 26 – Mucarsel-Powell
