Kentucky

Presidential Primary – May 21st, 2024

CLOSED PRIMARY – You must be registered as a Democrat in order to vote in the Democratic primary.

If you want your vote to count as a vote to survive, vote for Marianne Williamson on May 21st! Marianne has suspended her campaign, but she is still on the ballot! She stands for a ceasefire in Gaza, negotiations in Ukraine, an end to warmongering with China, the abolition of nuclear weapons and a full-scale mobilization to address the climate emergency.

This is a primary election solely for the purpose of choosing the Democratic nominee for President. Your vote does not in any way support or enable Trump to get back in! But neither should it be merely a coronation for Joe Biden. He needs to earn our vote. And he needs to get a clear message from the citizens of this country who do not accept the status quo and want to see the changes that Marianne Williamson stands for. Vote to survive!

Presidential Election – Nov 5th, 2024

Kentucky is a deep RED state that Trump won in 2016 and in 2020. Biden has no chance of winning this state in 2024.

In Kentucky, it is safe to vote for a third-party candidate in the general election, without fear that this will help get Trump back into the White House. He will win this state anyway.

If you want your vote to count as a vote to survive, vote for Jill Stein on November 5th! Jill stands for a ceasefire in Gaza, negotiations in Ukraine, an end to warmongering with China, the abolition of nuclear weapons and a full-scale mobilization to address the climate emergency.

Vote Swapping

And your vote for Senator in this state could be even more important…

Senate Race

Former fighter pilot Amy McGrath is challenging Mitch McConnell for his seat in the Senate. This is not a seat the Democrats are expecting to win, but Mitch McConnell is President Trump’s leading cheerleader and henchman, and has single-handedly blocked nearly bill passed by the House of Representatives since Democrats took control of the lower House in 2018.

Democrats need to gain at least four more seats in the Senate to prevent Mitch McConnell from blocking everything a Biden administration would try to do. If Democrats hold onto the Senate seat in Michigan and win Senate seats in Colorado, Arizona, Maine, Montana and North Carolina, Mitch McConnell will no longer have control of the Senate and its agenda.

Taking Mitch McConnell’s own seat in Kentucky would just be the icing on the cake.

A vote for Amy McGrath is a vote for survival!

House Races

The best we can hope for in 2020 at the Presidential and Senate levels is to get rid of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell so that we will at least survive the next four years. But in the medium term, we need to elect politicians who support the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, the Nuclear Ban Treaty and other real, sustainable solutions to the global threats facing us all.

Luckily, we already have over 100 such politicians in the House of Representatives. We need to make sure they get re-elected, and we need to elect more of them!
