Nebraska

Nebraska is a solid RED state that Trump won in 2016 and in 2020. Harris has no chance of winning this state in 2024, although he could potentially win in District 2. Nebraska and Maine are the only two states that split their electoral college votes by district.

Presidential Election – Nov 5th, 2024

In Nebraska, it is safe to vote for a third-party candidate in the general election, without fear that this will help get Trump back into the White House. He will win this state anyway, and if he loses District 2 to Harris, he will have already lost the election.

If you want your vote to count as a vote to survive, vote for Jill Stein on November 5th! Jill stands for a ceasefire in Gaza, negotiations in Ukraine, an end to warmongering with China, the abolition of nuclear weapons and a full-scale mobilization to address the climate emergency.

Vote Swapping

Are you willing help ensure that Trump does not get back into the White House by voting for a third-party candidate in exchange for someone in a purple state voting for Harris (instead of their preferred third-party candidate)? If you’d like to know more, click here.

Senate Race

Nebraska is a red state and Republican former Governor Pete Ricketts is all but certain to win the seat vacated prematurely by Sen. Ben Sasse. The other Senate seat, however, is hotly contested and re-election of Republican Deb Fischer is not a given.

While Independent candidate Dan Osborn cannot be described as a progressive, and has distanced himself from the Democratic Party, he is least not aligning himself with MAGA Republicans. So far, Osborn has refused to say whether he would caucus with the Democrats, like Angus King and Bernie Sanders, or with the Republicans if the Senate is hung without a majority.

Nevertheless, in this case, a vote for Dan Osborn is a vote for survival!

House Races

If you live in US Congressional District 2, you have an opportunity at this election to vote for a new progressive candidate for the House of Representatives, Tony Vargas!
