Colorado

This is a BLUE STATE that Biden won in 2020, Clinton won in 2016 and Harris won in 2024. The US Senate seat is safely Democratic, as are US House seats in Districts CO-1, CO-2, CO-6 and CO-7. The US House seat in CO-4 is reliable Republican. And CO-3, CO-5 and CO-8 are purple districts for this election. CO-8 is the second most vulnerable Republican seat in the country.

Senate Race

John Hickenlooper (D) is running for re-election against Mark Baisley (R). Hickenlooper is likely to win this seat with at least 300,000 more votes than he needs. Therefore you are safe voting for a third-party candidate without risking the outcome of this election.

There are six third party candidates running for US Senate in Colorado at this election:

Adam Withrow is the only Unity Party candidate in the country running for US Senate.

There are also three “unaffiliated” candidates, one Independent and a Colorado Forward Party candidate.

VOTE Adam Withrow, Unity Party, (or another independent or third party candidate) for US Senate!

And if you don’t feel comfortable doing that, consider swapping your vote with someone in another state where one more Democratic vote could really change the outcome of the election and help end MAGA control of the Senate.

NOTE: Although vote swapping has been established by a Federal Appeals Court to be a legal right, protected by the First Amendment, Colorado still has a law on its books which says it is “unlawful for any person to facilitate the trading of votes between an elector in the state or a person in another state in exchange for the other person’s vote for or against a particular candidate…” We are challenging that law in federal courts, but meanwhile please note that it is only unlawful to “facilitate” vote swapping in Colorado, not to take part in vote swapping yourself. So as facilitators of the process, we could face legal consequences, but you should be fine!
