Washington DC

This is a deep BLUE DISTRICT that Biden won in 2020, Clinton won in 2016 and Harris won in 2024. DC is BLUE when it comes to its one House race. There is little to no chance of a Republican winning a national race here. So Democrats who don’t want to waste their vote can choose to vote third party and swap their vote with someone in a purple state where the Democrat does have a chance of winning a seat.

2026 Primary Election takes place on:

DC does not have Senate elections (yet).

House Race

DC elects a “Delegate” who serves in the House of Representatives (but cannot vote). Click on the link below for details.

Not registered to vote? You’re in luck! This is one of the states that allows you to register AND vote on Election Day at your nearest town or city clerk’s office. Bring ID and wear a mask, and don’t forget to VOTE!

AND, your most powerful contribution to this election may not be your own vote, but the vote of a friend, relative, colleague, former neighbor, or somebody else you know who does live in a “battleground” state. You may be the one person who can convince that person to vote, and to vote for our survival, at this election.
