In 2024, the Democrat, Sean Casten, won this seat with a margin of 8.4 percent, or 30,531 votes, over the Republican, Niki Conforti. An estimated 181,506 eligible voters (33.3%) did not vote at that election in Illinois District 6, and 86 voted for a third (or fourth) party.
