This is currently considered to be a Purple congressional district. This is one of the seats that Democrats can take from Republicans because of redistricting – to offset seats they will lose in Texas because of redistricting there. Please vote Democrat to end MAGA control of Congress!. In 2024, the Republican, Jay Obernolte, won this seat with a margin of 20.3 percent, or 53,723 votes, over the Democrat, Derek Marshall. Meanwhile, in 2024, Trump won in this seat by 17 percent.
An estimated 248,706 eligible voters, or 48.4 percent, did not vote at that election in California District 23, and – voted for a third (or fourth) party. There are also 19,944 in this district who have turned 18 since 2024 and are now eligible to vote!
