This has been considered to be a Red congressional district. In 2024, the Republican, Max Miller, won this seat with a margin of 15.0 And, Trump won in this seat by 11 percent. However, recent polling suggests the Democratic candidate, Brian Poindexter, could be Republican Max Miller to win this race. Therefore, this is now a Purple race. An estimated 200,989 eligible voters, or 33.4 percent, did not vote at that election in Ohio District 7, and 51,264 voted for a third (or fourth) party. There are also 20,729 in this district who have turned 18 since 2024 and are now eligible to vote!
