This has been considered to be a Red congressional district. In 2024, the Republican, Mark Amodei, won this seat with a margin of 19.0 percent, or 75,855 votes, over the No Political Party, Greg Kidd. And Trump won in this seat by 14 percent. However, recent polling suggests the Democratic candidate, Teresa Benitez-Thompson could beat the Republican, David Flippo, to win this seat in 2026. This is therefore now a Purple race and vote swappers are urged to vote Democrat!
