This is currently considered to be a Red congressional district. No matter how you vote the Republican is going to win this seat! You can safely vote third party without affecting the outcome. In 2024, the Republican, Wesley Hunt, won this seat with a margin of 25.5 percent, or 87,390 votes, over the Democrat, Melissa McDonough. Meanwhile, in 2024, Trump won in this seat by 21 percent.
An estimated 163,501 eligible voters, or 32.3 percent, did not vote at that election in Texas District 38, and 94 voted for a third (or fourth) party. There are also 19,972 in this district who have turned 18 since 2024 and are now eligible to vote!
