This is currently considered to be a Red congressional district. No matter how you vote the Republican is going to win this seat! You can safely vote third party without affecting the outcome. In 2024, the Republican, Tim Walberg, won this seat with a margin of 32.9 percent, or 134,933 votes, over the Democrat, Libbi Urban. Meanwhile, in 2024, Trump won in this seat by 27 percent.
An estimated 186,944 eligible voters, or 31.3 percent, did not vote at that election in Michigan District 5, and 6,379 voted for a third (or fourth) party. There are also 20,732 in this district who have turned 18 since 2024 and are now eligible to vote!
