This is currently considered to be a purple congressional district. This was a solid RED seat, but re-districting makes it more likely that Democrats could win this seat now. Please vote Democrat to end MAGA control of Congress!. In 2024, the Republican, Greg Murphy, won this seat with a margin of 54.8 percent, or 175,711 votes, over the Libertarian, Gheorghe Cormos. Meanwhile, in 2024, Trump won in this seat by 22 percent.
An estimated 243,844 eligible voters, or 43.2 percent, did not vote at that election in North Carolina District 3, and – voted for a third (or fourth) party. There are also 18,717 in this district who have turned 18 since 2024 and are now eligible to vote!
