This is currently considered to be a Purple congressional district. This was a solid Blue seat but re-districting means Democrats will have to fight very hard to hold onto this seat. Please vote Democrat to end MAGA control of Congress!. In 2024, the Democrat, Terri Sewell, won this seat with a margin of 27.4 percent, or 80,411 votes, over the Republican, Robin Litaker. Meanwhile, In 2024, Harris won in this seat by 23 percent.
An estimated 261,065 eligible voters, or 47.1 percent, did not vote at that election in Alabama District 7, and 185 voted for a third (or fourth) party. There are also 18,500 in this district who have turned 18 since 2024 and are now eligible to vote!
