In 2024, the Democrat, Zoe Lofgren, won this seat with a margin of 29.3 percent, or 66,842 votes, over the Republican, Peter Hernandez. An estimated 187,099 eligible voters (45%) did not vote at that election in California District 18, and – voted for a third (or fourth) party.
