In 2024, the Republican, Zach Nunn, won this seat with a margin of 3.8 percent, or 15,784 votes, over the Democrat, Lanon Baccam. An estimated 165,545 eligible voters (28.6%) did not vote at that election in Iowa District 3, and 1,197 voted for a third (or fourth) party.
