In 2024, the Democrat, Jared Golden, won this seat with a margin of 0.7 percent, or 2,706 votes, over the Republican, Austin Theriault. An estimated 159,709 eligible voters (29%) did not vote at that election in Maine District 2, and – voted for a third (or fourth) party.
