In 2024, the Democrat, Betty McCollum, won this seat with a margin of 34.7 percent, or 125,184 votes, over the Republican, May Lor Xiong. An estimated 149,242 eligible voters (29.2%) did not vote at that election in Minnesota District 4, and 623 voted for a third (or fourth) party.
