In 2024, the Republican, Elise Stefanik, won this seat with a margin of 24 percent, or 83,549 votes, over the Democrat, Paula Collins. An estimated 260,090 eligible voters (42.7%) did not vote at that election in New York District 21, and 197 voted for a third (or fourth) party.
