In 2024, the Democrat, Steve Cohen, won this seat with a margin of 45.6 percent, or 102,111 votes, over the Republican, Charlotte Bergmann. An estimated 313,622 eligible voters (58.4%) did not vote at that election in Tennessee District 9, and 6,770 voted for a third (or fourth) party.
