In 2024, the Democrat, Greg Casar, won this seat with a margin of 34.7 percent, or 87,899 votes, over the Republican, Steven Wright. An estimated 281,311 eligible voters (52.6%) did not vote at that election in Texas District 35, and – voted for a third (or fourth) party.
