This is currently considered to be a Red congressional district. No matter how you vote the Republican is going to win this seat! You can safely vote third party without affecting the outcome. In 2024, the Republican, Carol Miller, won this seat with a margin of 40.2 percent, or 138,453 votes, over the Democrat, Chris Reed. Meanwhile, in 2024, Trump won in this seat by 44 percent.
An estimated 355,841 eligible voters, or 50.8 percent, did not vote at that election in West Virginia District 1, and 25,790 voted for a third (or fourth) party. There are also 21,430 in this district who have turned 18 since 2024 and are now eligible to vote!
