This is a deep red state that Trump won in 2016, 2020 and 2024. It is red when it comes to the Senate race, and it is red when it comes to all House races. There is little to no chance of a Democrat winning a national race here. But Democrats can choose to vote third party, where possible, and swap their vote with someone in a purple state where the Democrat does have a chance of winning a seat.
Senate Election – Nov 3, 2026
Barry Moore (R) is running against Everett Wess (D). Wess has little to no chance of winning, but there are no third parties running in this race. Voting for a write-in candidate may be your only option as a vote swapper in Alabama. Luckily, Alabama is one of the few states which allows voters to write-in any candidate they want without having to have that candidate already pre-registered as a write-in candidate.
