New Hampshire

Not registered to vote? You’re in luck! This is one of the states that allows you to register AND vote on Election Day at your nearest town or city clerk’s office. Bring ID and wear a mask, and don’t forget to VOTE!

Presidential Primary – took place on January 17th

PARTISAN PRIMARY – If you are registered as an independent or unaffiliated to a major party, you can choose which primary to vote in. Just turn up and ask for the “Democratic” ballot. If you are already registered as Democrat or Republican, you can only vote on the ballot for that party.

Presidential Election – Nov 5th, 2024

This is now a (light) PURPLE state! It has traditionally voted Democratic in Presidential elections, but the gap is very narrow and opinion polls show that Trump could potentially win New Hampshire in 2024. It is absolutely critical to our survival that we retain this state for Biden in 2024, whatever we may dislike about Biden!

This means, because of the electoral system that we have, that your vote, if you live in New Hampshire, is almost as crucial to the final outcome as it would be if you lived in a “battleground” state like Pennsylvania, Michigan, or Wisconsin.

If you live in New Hampshire, your vote is critical to our survival. If you vote for a third party or don’t vote at all, you might as well be giving your vote to Trump in this state. It’s that close. Please vote! And please vote for Biden in this state, even though he is not the candidate we need for our survival. If you cannot bear the thought of voting for Biden, please consider vote swapping!

Vote Swapping

Are you willing help ensure that Trump does not get back into the White House by voting for Biden in exchange for someone in a solid red or blue state voting for your preferred third-party candidate? If you’d like to know more, click here.

AND, your most powerful contribution to this election may not be your own vote, but the vote of a friend, relative, colleague, former neighbor, or somebody else you know who does live in a “battleground” state. You may be the one person who can convince that person to vote, and to vote for our survival, at this election.

Senate Race

There is no Senate seat up for re-election this year in New Hampshire.

House Races

The best we can hope for in 2020 at the Presidential and Senate levels is to get rid of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell so that we will at least survive the next four years. But in the medium term, we need to elect politicians who support the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, the Nuclear Ban Treaty and other real, sustainable solutions to the global threats facing us all.

Luckily, we already have over 100 such politicians in the House of Representatives. We need to make sure they get re-elected, and we need to elect more of them!

There are currently no members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus from New Hampshire.
