Washington

Not registered to vote? You’re in luck! This is one of the states that allows you to register AND vote on Election Day at your nearest town or city clerk’s office. Bring ID and wear a mask, and don’t forget to VOTE!

Presidential Primary – March 12th, 2024

(PARTIALLY) CLOSED PRIMARY – You must normally be registered as a Democrat in order to vote in the Democratic primary. However, Independents may also cast a vote on the Democratic ballot.

If you want your vote to count as a vote to survive, vote for Marianne Williamson on March 12th! Marianne has suspended her campaign, but she is still on the ballot! She stands for a ceasefire in Gaza, negotiations in Ukraine, an end to warmongering with China, the abolition of nuclear weapons and a full-scale mobilization to address the climate emergency.

This is a primary election solely for the purpose of choosing the Democratic nominee for President. Your vote does not in any way support or enable Trump to get back in! But neither should it be merely a coronation for Joe Biden. He needs to earn our vote. And he needs to get a clear message from the citizens of this country who do not accept the status quo and want to see the changes that Marianne Williamson stands for. Vote to survive!

Presidential Election – Nov 5th, 2024

In Washington, it is safe to vote for a third-party candidate in the general election, without fear that this will help get Trump back into the White House. He will not win this state no matter how you vote.

If you want your vote to count as a vote to survive, vote for Jill Stein on November 5th! Jill stands for a ceasefire in Gaza, negotiations in Ukraine, an end to warmongering with China, the abolition of nuclear weapons and a full-scale mobilization to address the climate emergency.

Senate Race

There are no Senate seats up for election in Washington this year. Next up will be Senator Johnson’s seat in 2022.

House Races

The best we can hope for in 2020 at the Presidential and Senate levels is to get rid of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell so that we will at least survive the next four years. But in the medium term, we need to elect politicians who support the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, the Nuclear Ban Treaty and other real, sustainable solutions to the global threats facing us all.

Luckily, we already have over 100 such politicians in the House of Representatives. We need to make sure they get re-elected, and we need to elect more of them!

If you live in one of these US Congressional Districts, you have a progressive member of Congress to support!

District 7 – Pramila Jayapal

District 9 – Adam Smith
