This is a reliably red state that Trump won in 2016, 2020 and 2024. However, Senate and House races are not as solid and Democrats stand a very good chance of winning both in 2026.

This is a Purple race. Democrat Mary Peltola is polling very close to Republican Dan Sullivan for the US Senate seat in Alaska. She has the best chance of taking this seat from the Republicans and ending MAGA control of the Senate.

In Purple races, every vote for the Democrat matters! But if you don’t feel comfortable voting for Peltola, consider swapping your vote with someone in a red or blue state, who can deliver a “protest” vote on your behalf. By voting third party where they can’t “spoil” the election, your vote swap partner is sending a message to the Democrats not to take us for granted. No more business as usual! Having to vote for the lesser of two evils is just not good enough. And having only two political parties in a country of 340 million is just plain ridiculous!
