This is a PURPLE state! It voted for Biden in 2020 and for Trump in 2016 and 2024. The Senate seat currently held by Democrat Jon Ossoff is a critical one for Democrats to hold onto and is being heavily targeted by Republicans. While most House Districts are solidly Republican, GA-2 and the four districts around Atlanta (GA-4, GA-5, GA-6 and GA-13) are normally considered to be reliably Democratic.
However, because of re-districting and other attempts to change the outcome of this election, GA-2 is particularly vulnerable and therefore considered “purple” for the purposes of vote swapping.
