Presidential Race

This is a Light Red state, that voted for Trump in 2016 but is moving demographically towards becoming a “Blue” Democratic-leaning state. We can win this state for Biden in 2020.

Trump won this state in 2016 with 5.1% more votes than Hillary Clinton, or roughly 200,000 votes out of almost 4 million votes cast in the state. As many as 522,000 young people, aged 18-25, did not vote in that election, or more than twice the number that could have changed the outcome of that election in Georgia.

If you live in Georgia, your vote is critical to our survival. Voting for a third party or not voting at all is the same is giving your vote to Trump in this state.

Senate Race

This election is not just about Donald Trump. So long as Mitch McConnell retains control of the Senate, a President Biden will be able to achieve very little in office. We need to end McConnell’s tyranny of the Senate on November 3rd.

Because of Senator Isakson’s retirement last year due to health reasons, there are unusually two Senate races taking place in Georgia this year.

Republican incumbent David Perdue is being challenged by Democrat Jon Ossoff for the Senate seat that would be normally up for election this year, while the primary-style Special Election has Republican Kelly Loeffler running against a number of candidates, including Democrat Raphael Warnock as well as Republican Doug Collins.

Both Loeffler and Collins are strong Trump supporters, and are trailing Democrat Warnock in the polls, but unless Warnock gets 50% of the vote on November 3rd, there will be a run-off election for this seat in January. You can use your vote in Georgia to say no to Loeffler, no to Collins, no to Perdue, no to Trump and no to Mitch McConnell.

A vote for Raphael Warnock is a vote to survive! And a vote for Jon Ossoff is a vote to survive!

House Races

The best we can hope for in 2020 at the Presidential and Senate levels is to get rid of Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell so that we will at least survive the next four years. But in the medium term, we need to elect politicians who support the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, the Nuclear Ban Treaty and other real, sustainable solutions to the global threats facing us all.

Luckily, we already have over 100 such politicians in the House of Representatives. We need to make sure they get re-elected, and we need to elect more of them!

If you live in one of these US Congressional Districts, you have a progressive member of Congress to support!
