Illinois

This is a deep BLUE STATE that Biden won in 2020 and Clinton won in 2016. Trump has no chance of winning this state in 2024.

Presidential Election – Nov 5th, 2024

In Illinois, it is safe to vote for a third-party candidate in the general election, without fear that this will help get Trump back into the White House. He will not win this state no matter how you vote.

If you want your vote to count as a vote to survive, vote for Jill Stein on November 5th! Jill stands for a ceasefire in Gaza, negotiations in Ukraine, an end to warmongering with China, the abolition of nuclear weapons and a full-scale mobilization to address the climate emergency.

Vote Swapping

Are you willing help ensure that Trump does not get back into the White House by voting for a third-party candidate in exchange for someone in a purple state voting for Harris (instead of their preferred third-party candidate)? If you’d like to know more, click here.

Not registered to vote? You’re in luck! This is one of the states that allows you to register AND vote on Election Day at your nearest town or city clerk’s office. Bring ID and wear a mask, and don’t forget to VOTE!

AND, your most powerful contribution to this election may not be your own vote, but the vote of a friend, relative, colleague, former neighbor, or somebody else you know who does live in a “battleground” state. You may be the one person who can convince that person to vote, and to vote for our survival, at this election.

Senate Race

No Senate race this year.

House Races

The best we can hope for in 2024 at the Presidential and Senate levels is to stop Trump and Republicans so that we will at least survive the next four years. But in the medium term, we need to elect politicians who support the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, the Nuclear Ban Treaty and other real, sustainable solutions to the global threats facing us all.

Luckily, we already have over 100 such politicians in the House of Representatives. We need to make sure they get re-elected, and we need to elect more of them!

If you live in US Congressional District 3, you have an opportunity at this election to vote for a new progressive candidate for the House of Representatives, Marie Newman!

Illinois District 3 – Marie Newman for US Congress

Marie Newman believes in health care rights, guarding social security benefits, decreasing income inequality, LGBTQ+ rights and common-sense gun safety.

And if you live in one of these other US Congressional Districts, you have an incumbent Democrat who is already a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus to support for re-election!

District 4 – Garcia

District 9 – Jan Schakowsky
