Minnesota

Minnesota is now considered a “marginal” LIGHT BLUE state. It has traditionally voted Democratic in Presidential elections, and although the gap narrowed in recent months, it is now less likely that Trump could win Minnesota in 2024. HOWEVER, it is still a possibility, so while it’s fairly safe to vote for a third party in this state, you may want to play it safe and vote for Harris.

Presidential Election – Nov 5th, 2024

In Minnesota, it is fairly safe to vote for a third-party candidate in the general election, without fear that this will help get Trump back into the White House. He will almost certainly lose this state. And if he wins Minnesota, it’s probably all over for Harris anyway.

If you want your vote to count as a vote to survive, vote for Jill Stein on November 5th! Jill stands for a ceasefire in Gaza, negotiations in Ukraine, an end to warmongering with China, the abolition of nuclear weapons and a full-scale mobilization to address the climate emergency.

Vote Swapping

Are you willing help ensure that Trump does not get back into the White House by voting for a third-party candidate in exchange for someone in a purple state voting for Harris (instead of their preferred third-party candidate)? If you’d like to know more, click here.

As someone voting in a MARGINAL STATE, however, you may want to vote for Harris on the off-chance that Trump might otherwise actually win this state. In that case, you have the choice of swapping your vote with someone in a more solid red or blue state, where a vote for Jill Stein can help send a message to Kamala Harris that you want more urgent and serious attention given to the existential threats facing humanity and that she does not have a blank check to continue with business as usual.

In that case, you can choose to swap your vote as if you are voting in a PURPLE state, and swapping with someone in a RED or BLUE state:

AND, your most powerful contribution to this election may not be your own vote, but the vote of a friend, relative, colleague, former neighbor, or somebody else you know who does live in a “battleground” state. You may be the one person who can convince that person to vote, and to vote for our survival, at this election.

Senate Race

Incumbent Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar is almost certain to win this seat.

House Races

The best we can hope for in 2024 at the Presidential and Senate levels is to prevent Donald Trump and the Republicans from re-taking control so that we will at least survive the next four years. But in the medium term, we need to elect politicians who support the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, the Nuclear Ban Treaty and other real, sustainable solutions to the global threats facing us all.

Luckily, we already have over 100 such politicians in the House of Representatives. We need to make sure they get re-elected, and we need to elect more of them!

If you live in one of these US Congressional Districts, you have a progressive member of Congress to support!

District 2 – Angie Craig

District 4 – Ilhan Omar
