Minnesota

Minnesota is a BLUE state. It has traditionally voted Democratic in Presidential elections, but the current Senate race is considered PURPLE because it is a critical seat for Democrats to hold onto if they are to re-take control of the Senate.

In general, House seats in the Twin Cities area (MN-2, -3, -4 and -5) are reliably BLUE, while the rural districts (MN-1, MN-6, MN-7 and MN-8) are reliably RED.

Although it is possible for Democrats to win other RED seats in this election, the most vulnerable seats labelled PURPLE for this election are MN-2 and MN-3. Votes are needed to ensure Democrats hold onto these seats, so voters in those districts not comfortable voting Democrat should swap their votes to register a third party or protest vote elsewhere!

STRATEGIC VOTING RECOMMENDATION:

Vote for a progressive candidate in the Democratic Primary who will challenge not only the MAGA Republican madness but also the Democratic Party establishment!

Senate Race

This is a Purple Senate race! The Republicans are hoping to take this seat. The incumbent Democrat must hold onto it for Democrats to regain control of the Senate.

In Purple races, every vote for the Democrat matters! If you are uncomfortable voting for a Democrat or plan to vote for a third party, please consider swapping your vote with someone in a safe state where their vote for a Democrat will not change the outcome.

STRATEGIC VOTING RECOMMENDATION:

Vote Democrat to end MAGA control of the Senate and swap your vote with someone in a red or blue state if you want them to vote for a third party of your choice or deliver a “protest” vote on your behalf.

Not registered to vote? You’re in luck! This is one of the states that allows you to register AND vote on Election Day at your nearest town or city clerk’s office. Bring ID and wear a mask, and don’t forget to VOTE!

AND, your most powerful contribution to this election may not be your own vote, but the vote of a friend, relative, colleague, former neighbor, or somebody else you know who does live in a “battleground” state. You may be the one person who can convince that person to vote, and to vote for our survival, at this election.
