Democratic Presidential Primary

June 23, 2020

Are you registered to vote?

Voter registration by mail deadline is now: May 29th:

You can no longer register to vote online.

Not sure if you are already registered or not? Ring your local County Board of Elections which you can find here.

Have you requested an absentee ballot?

New York does not allow “no excuse” absentee voting, so if you want to avoid going to a polling station on election day and risking infection, you officially need an “excuse,” such as being ill or in jail. This may change very soon, but if not, consider yourself “ill” for these purposes and request an absentee ballot – because you will be ill if you have to vote in person…

Deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is now June 16th:

To request an absentee ballot, fill in this form and send it to your local Count Board of Elections.

Your absentee ballot must be completed and returned by election day, June 23rd

Can you vote now with “Early Voting?”

“Early voting” in New York is available from June 13-21 at your municipal office.

If going to the Town Hall is easier for you than requesting an absentee ballot, vote now and avoid the rush on election day…

Planning to vote in person?

Election day is June 23rd.
